The blame game :-()

Stop the hate! Republicans seem to always, and vehemently blame the Democrats for everything they perceive is wrong with today's society. When in fact, both parties are to blame equally. There are no innocent people here. Everyone must take responsibility for their actions. No one is perfect, and it takes much time for laws to be changed if deemed needed by our leaders. Yes many are archaic, yet they are there for a reason, and established long ago.

Hate?

Not about hate grandpa!

Bigot or what?

I hate to be defensive, however this matter dictates I comment: There are an estimated 30 million + "illegal aliens" now in America, and at our border in San Diego, there are thousand more using the word "Asylum" to enter daily. Our lawmakers have given the green light to them, letting them in and there are "community organizers" that stroll them right over to a registration booth to become a Democrat. Our State so called Lawmakers also let them get drivers licenses and also register to vote. I have 3 children, 8 grand children and 10 GREAT grandchildren. I have had American History, Civics, English, Constitution, Bill of Rights, culture, language and all the components that our founders built this great nation with. Did you? We have a Governor that welcomes them, lets our State of California become a sanctuary for them and all of this is without any regard for Americans that are already in this Country as Americans. Los Angeles has a Sheriff that will not enforce the law. These "illegals" that use that "Asylum" stunt to get in are claiming their country is in turmoil and they are endangered. Wow! What do you think we are in right now? Invasion? We are either bigots or racists if we say "we want to keep America Great" and immigration is an outdated and old fashioned philosophy like Unions. We simply can't take any more immigrants, illegal or legal. Quoting from the Pacific Legal Foundation Spring 2019 edition: l. Houses are more expensive than they used to be 2. Housing costs are rising faster than income 3. Not enough new homes are being built, which causes prices to rise and 4. Nearly half of renters struggle to afford their housing. THIS IS THE REAL AMERICAN YOUTH CHALLENGE! So now we have to feel sorry for "illegals", fill our housing for them, or be called bigots because we want to protect the limits of our country, Border or culture; and what can my grand children and great grand children end up with because "asylum" overran America? I will be a bigot any day for any reason that affects our great country, and repeat; the crossroads have passed and we don't want any more! Look west neighbor, the Earth is not flat!

In El Cajon most of the immigrant are Iraqis who fled wars and

were actually granted refugee status by the United Nations and admitted legally to the U.S.  Translators to help them learn English are needed or would you prefer to just have them keep speaking Arabic and Aramaic?  They are here LEGALLY and did not sneak in.

Ellis Island

How under-educated or short memories some have..........We did have an organized system with Ellis Island whereby screening and qualifying occurred along with putting the burden on the future immigrants to learn English, respect the Flag as theirs, accept and respect our culture etc. As President Roosevelt said "if you come here you learn our language, become an American in every way etc" or leave+-...........Now we have "legal" as well as "illegal alien" immigrants in America and you want to qualify and support them after the door closes? That is like trying to round up the law breakers by the Millions and putting them back in line. Being legal does not mean it was the right way or path to take. America is bulging with people and water, food sources, housing is running out and our streets and freeways are jammed. You don't have to be short sighted to see and feel some of this. Speaking out against some of these issues in this climate somehow diminishes you or makes you a bigot. God bless our founders, Constitution, Bill of Rights, rule of law, culture, language, history, military, first responders and those that make your seat in America comfortable.

So while fleeing a war in their homelands they are supposed to

have had the forethought to predict there would be a war, that they would become refugees, and spend years learning English?  That's a ridiculous assertion.  These people were uprooted from their homelands by violence and the tutors are needed because they WANT to learn English. It's just plain bigoted to say that refugees must learn English before running for their lives.
