March 24, 2019 (San Diego) -- If you can speak English, you can make a difference in someone’s life. Laubach Literacy Council of San Diego County provides tutors for adult learners of English as a Second Language with tutoring locations countywide.
No experience is needed. The next free training will be two consecutive Saturdays May 4 and May 11, 2019. Attendance is required at both for Laubach certification. The training will be held at Clairemont Covenant Church, 5255 Mt. Ararat Drive, San Diego, CA 92111.
Many of Laubach’s locations across San Diego County need trained tutors to bring the gift of literacy to non-English speaking learners.

The blame game :-()
Hate?
Bigot or what?
In El Cajon most of the immigrant are Iraqis who fled wars and
were actually granted refugee status by the United Nations and admitted legally to the U.S. Translators to help them learn English are needed or would you prefer to just have them keep speaking Arabic and Aramaic? They are here LEGALLY and did not sneak in.
Ellis Island
Yes because jammed freeways are immigrants' fault
Not idiots getting into accidents or anything.
Eye roll.
English a 2nd langauge in America?
So while fleeing a war in their homelands they are supposed to
have had the forethought to predict there would be a war, that they would become refugees, and spend years learning English? That's a ridiculous assertion. These people were uprooted from their homelands by violence and the tutors are needed because they WANT to learn English. It's just plain bigoted to say that refugees must learn English before running for their lives.
Girl, that's....what they're trying to do
They're trying to learn our language so they can speak it.
It's right there.
In the story.
