LA MESA-SPRING VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT TO CONSIDER BOARD APPOINTMENT

January 20, 2015 (La Mesa) – The La Mesa-Spring Valley School District Board meets this evening at 7:00 p.m., and will consider candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board resulting from former Board Member Bill Baber’s election to La Mesa City Council.

Each Board member will select two candidates tonight, that will go on to a final interview on January 27. Applications for each candidate  can be viewed online here: Jerry AndersonStephen BabbittJohn Greenwell John HiltonRebecca Pollack-RudeJay Steiger.

The Board will also be presented with the 2013-14 Audit Report and School Accountability Report Cards for their acceptance and approval. Also the La Mesa National Little League would like to donate an electronic scoreboard valued at $1,500.00 to Lemon Avenue Elementary School. 

Matthew McDonald, Parent, La Mesa Dale Elementary, and Carl McCullough, Director, Spring Valley Recreation Center, will be recognized with the ROSE Award.
