April 18, 2023 (San Diego) - The Padres were silenced last night.  They looked to rebound tonight with Spencer Strider on the mound for Atlanta against Blake Snell.
Kevin Pillar began the action in the second with a double that scored Sean Murphy.  Murphy then hit a solo homer in the fourth and the Braves led 2-0 after four.

Ozzie Albies saved the game from being a repeat of last night with a three-run bomb in the eighth.  The Padres got one back in the home half when Juan Soto grounded into a fielder’s choice, allowing Trent Grisham to score.  The Braves led 5-1 after eight.

Matt Olson added a three-run blast of his own in the ninth and the Braves clobbered the Padres 8-1.
