February 1, 2017 (Los Angeles) - San Diego State women’s tennis travelled north to Los Angeles on Wednesday, falling in a tough matchup against the No. 22 USC Trojans, 7-0. The Trojans also swept the Aztecs at their last meeting in 2015.

February 1, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State junior catcher Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) has been named to the 2017 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List, USA Softball announced Wednesday. Peres is one of 50 players on the preseason list.

February 1, 2017 (San Diego) -- The Nile Sisters Initiative hosted a panel at The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice on female genital cutting (FGC), also known as female circumcision. Refugees and immigrants face several physical and mental health complications after undergoing the procedure in their home countries.
