July 6, 2022 (Washington, D.C.) - On the heels of last week’s landmark ruling expanding gun rights, the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday threw out a lower court ruling banning large-capacity ammunition magazines in California.

November 30, 2021 (San Diego) – The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals today upheld California’s ban on large-capacity gun ammunition magazines, overturning a lower court ruling. Gun rights advocates had taken aim at a 2016 law and a similar ballot initiative passed overwhelmingly by the state’s voters in an effort to reduce mass casualties from assault-style weapons.
