February 22, 2018 (PyeonChang, South Korea) - Isn’t it always this way every four years?  United States?  Canada? Sixty minutes of hockey for one color medal?  One goal, usually in a shootout, deciding it all?

The men couldn’t get it done in a shootout.  Could the women?

Yes.

One hundred percent yes.

February 20, 2018 (PyeonChang, South Korea) - Americans defeated Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir in Sochi.

They wouldn’t let that happen again.  They’ve worked too hard.

So when Maia and Alex Shibutani were second, the Canadian ice dancing king and queen put together an impressive program to knock them back down to third and take gold, also defeating France’s Gabrielle Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron on Wednesday.

February 19, 2018 (PyeonChang, South Korea) - Team USA women's hockey doesn't have any time to celebrate their 5-0 semifinal win over Finland on Monday.

The Canadians are coming again.  But this time for the American women, it's personal.

February 18, 2018 (PyeonChang, South Korea) - At the Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, men’s slopestyle skiier Nick Geopper medaled for bronze in an American sweep of the podium.  But he wanted a level up, like Mario when he eats a mushroom.

February 17, 2018 (Pyeonchang, South Korea) - America was expecting so much from Nathan Chen.  He let us down the first time.  He didn't let it happen again.

“I definitely did want to redeem myself after the two short programs and I think I did here,” said Chen.  He made it sound like he was redeeming something pointless like a gift certificate, but he redeemed so much more.

February 12, 2018 (PyeonChang, South Korea) - If you’re close enough in age to remember what being a teenager and begging your parents for things was like, multiply that by 100 by adding immigrant parents and you have Chloe Kim’s childhood.
