February 25, 2024 (Moraga, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team played the second leg of its Bay Area road trip on Sunday after Saturday’s 4-3 win over San Francisco. The Aztecs crossed the Bay Bridge to the East Bay to play Saint Mary’s in Moraga, Calif. SDSU took the doubles point and the first three singles matches to finish to win 4-0. The win caps off a perfect 4-0 week for the Aztecs including three shutout wins. The victory is also the fifth consecutive one for San Diego State.

February 25, 2024 (San Francisco) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team took the road for just the second time this season when it played at San Francisco on Saturday. The Aztecs faced the Dons at Goldman Tennis Center in Golden Gate Park. SDSU dropped the doubles point for the first time this season but came storming back to win four singles matches to earn a 4-3 win.

January 11, 2024 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s tennis played its spring season opener against Brigham Young at the Aztec Tennis Center on Thursday. The Aztecs claimed an early lead by taking the doubles point and held on by winning three singles matches to earn a 4-3 victory over the Cougars. SDSU clinched victory with a 4-2 lead, but the teams decided to close it out on court three to finish with the 4-3 result.

October 15, 2023 (San Diego) - Chikaya Sato and Alexander Mandma, of the San Diego State men’s tennis team, finished up at the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic on Sunday at the Hogan Tennis Center on the campus of the University of San Diego (USD). Today, the Aztecs faced off against players from host USD. The two players both won their singles matches while also winning together in doubles to go undefeated on the final day of the three-day tournament.

October 1, 2023 (Tulsa) - On Sunday, the San Diego State men’s tennis had two players appear in consolation matches in the ITA All-American Championships after falling in the first round yesterday. Players in the 256-person tournament are guaranteed two matches. With Chikaya Sato winning in the first round, only Alexander Mandma and Robin Parts played today in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Wednesday was the first day of the Main Draw after Gonzalez Fitzmaurice won consecutive matches to advance out of the Qualifying rounds.

Trailing the Falcons by just one match in the conference standings, today’s competition provided SDSU with a chance to leapfrog Air Force and take the sixth seed in this week’s Mountain West Championships. The Aztecs capitalized on the opportunity, taking the doubles point and winning three singles matches to earn a 4-2 victory.

April 15, 2023 (San Diego) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team earned its second victory of the season on Saturday against UC San Diego. The doubles point and the beginning of singles play happened on the night of Wednesday, April 12, before rain suspended the remainder of the match until 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. From there, SDSU took over, winning four of the first five singles matches and a set on all six singles courts to earn the victory.
