March 8, 2020 (Long Beach) - San Diego State lost a pair of games on the final day of the Louisville Slugger Classic Sunday afternoon at LBSU Softball Complex. The Aztecs (17-11) rallied late in the opener, but dropped a 5-3 decision to No. 22/22 UCF before falling to host Long Beach State 8-0 in five innings in the nightcap.

March 7, 2020 (Los Angeles) - San Diego State picked up a pair of shutout victories at the Louisville Slugger Classic Saturday afternoon at UCLA’s Easton Stadium. The Aztecs (17-9) first run-ruled Cal Poly, 9-0, in five innings before edging 2019 NCAA tournament team Boston Univ., 1-0, in the second game.

March 6, 2020 (Long Beach) - Alexa Schultz singled home Summer Hargett in the bottom of the 11th inning to give San Diego State a 6-5 win over Cal State Fullerton at the Louisville Slugger Classic Friday afternoon at LBSU Softball Complex. It is the second time this season that the Aztecs (15-9) have defeated the Titans (13-9) in extra innings.

March 4, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State allowed six runs in the top of the sixth inning of a one-run game in a 11-4 loss to Villanova Wednesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Wildcats (12-9), who are receiving votes in both the USA Today/NFCA and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls, were up, 4-3, after five innings before scoring six times off the Aztecs (14-9) on just three hits, but four walks and a crucial error.

March 1, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State used a four-run sixth inning to rally past CSUN, 7-4, in the San Diego Classic finale Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (14-8) finished the tournament with a 3-1 record, only falling to defending national champion and No. 1/1 UCLA, 5-0, when the Bruins scored all five of their runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

February 29, 2020 (San Diego) - San Diego State split a pair of games Saturday at the San Diego Classic at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (13-8) opened with their second-consecutive one-hit shutout in an 8-0, five-inning victory over St. John’s before giving up five runs with two outs in the final inning to defending national champion and No. 1/1 UCLA in a 5-0 loss in the nightcap.

February 28, 2020 (San Diego) -  Marissa Moreno and Maggie Balint combined for a one-hit shutout in San Diego State’s 1-0 victory over Weber State on the first day of the San Diego Classic Friday at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was the third shutout of the season for the Aztecs (12-7).

February 26, 2020 (Riverside) -  In a pitchers’ duel, the San Diego State softball team was edged by California Baptist, 1-0, in eight innings Wednesday night at John C. Funk Stadium. The Aztecs fell to 11-7 with the loss.

February 22, 2020 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - San Diego State was unable to contain rv/No. 24 Mississippi State’s power in a 10-4 loss Saturday night at Big League Dreams Complex. The Aztecs (11-6) finished the competitive Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a 2-3 record.

February 21, 2020 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team lost its Friday opener to No. 5/5 Arizona, 10-0, in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic at Big League Dreams Complex. 

SDSU was held to just one hit - a Sara Lillie single in the bottom of the second inning - and allowed three home runs to the Wildcats (11-2), which accounted for eight of the 10 runs in the game.

February 18, 2020 (San Diego) -  San Diego State downed Loyola Marymount, 8-1, for its fifth consecutive victory Tuesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Aztecs (9-3) spotted the Lions (5-6) a run in the top of the second inning on a two-out single, then scored the final eight runs of the game.

February 12, 2020 (Riverside) - The San Diego State softball team was unable to come up with the big hit in a 5-0 loss at UC Riverside Wednesday afternoon at Amy S. Harrison Field.

The Aztecs (4-2) had plenty of chances, but went 2-for-15 with runners on base and 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position, stranding eight runners in the game.

February 8, 2020 (Jacksonville) - The San Diego State softball team picked up two wins Saturday afternoon at the River City Leadoff Tournament at Debbie & Fred Pruitt Softball Complex. The Aztecs (4-1) avenged a Friday defeat to Villanova by beating the Wildcats 8-4 before dispatching Nicholls for the second straight day by a 7-3 score.

May 11, 2019 (Logan, Utah) - The San Diego State softball team used a two-run home run by Molly Sturdivant and a three-hit complete game from Marissa Moreno to down Utah State, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in Logan, Utah. The Aztecs finished their season with a 25-26 record, including a 12-12 mark in Mountain West play.

May 10, 2019 (Logan, Utah) - The San Diego State softball team was unable to overcome a rough start in a 7-6 loss to Utah State Friday afternoon in Logan, Utah. The loss dropped the Aztecs to 24-26 on the season and 11-12 in Mountain West play.

May 9, 2019 (Logan, Utah) - The San Diego State softball team dropped the series opener, 4-3, to Utah State Thursday afternoon in Logan, Utah.

The Aztecs (24-25, 11-11 MW) had plenty of chances to break open a close game, but left 10 runners on base, going 4-for-17 (.235) with runners on base, 2-for-11 (.182) with runners in scoring position and 1-for-4 (.250) with the bases loaded.

May 4, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State downed Fresno State, 3-1, to claim the weekend series Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Tied at 1-1, the Aztecs (23-24, 10-10 MW) scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away. Kayla Sok replaced Shelby Thompson after a leadoff single, and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Kelsey Munoz and a fielding error by Bulldog  (33-17, 11-9 MW) shortstop Vanessa Hernandez. Taylor Adams followed with a grounder to Hernandez, but Sok was able to race home and get under the tag applied by catcher Kelcey Carrasco and put SDSU on top. Kiera Wright then hit a bloop single down the left-field line to plate Janina Jusay with an insurance run.

May 3, 2019 (San Diego) - Katie Byrd (Santee, Calif./West Hills HS) drilled a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Katie Parker from second base and give San Diego State a 1-0 victory over Fresno State Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

April 28, 2019 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team lost to No. 25 Colorado State, 4-3, on a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning Sunday afternoon at Ram Field in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs (21-24, 8-10 MW) also dropped the series with the Rams (36-8, 17-4 MW).

April 27, 2019 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team knocked off No. 25 Colorado State 5-4 to even its weekend series Saturday afternoon at Ram Field in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs improved to 21-23 with the win and 8-9 in Mountain West play, while the league-leading Rams dropped to 35-8 and 16-4.

April 26, 2019 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team lost its series opener at No. 25 Colorado State, 9-0, in six innings Friday afternoon in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs had their three-game winning streak snapped and are now 20-23 on the season and 7-9 in Mountain West play, while the Rams improved to 35-7 and 16-3.

April 23, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU softball was back in action tonight after a week-long break, hosting Cal Baptist for a non-conference matchup at SDSU Softball Stadium.  Sophomore Giana Lopez started for the Lancers against junior Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

April 14, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU softball is climbing back into the competition.  Today, they finished off a series with San Jose State after splitting the first two games of the series with one win on Friday night and the Spartans winning last night.  Freshman Chrys Hildebrand started for the Spartans against junior Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

April 13, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State fell to San José State 6-2 on Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The weekend series is now tied at 1-1.

The Aztecs (18-22, 6-8 MW) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning when Taylor Adams was hit by a pitch and scored on a double by Kelsey Munoz.
