April 23, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU softball was back in action tonight after a week-long break, hosting Cal Baptist for a non-conference matchup at SDSU Softball Stadium.  Sophomore Giana Lopez started for the Lancers against junior Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

The Aztecs took the lead early when senior Molly Sturdivant blasted a two-run homer in the first inning to put the red and black up 2-0.

The Lancers cut the lead to one in the fourth when a grounder skipped over the third base bag into left field, allowing junior Caitlyn Lloyd to score.  The Aztecs got the side-retiring groundout on the next at-bat and escaped the inning still alive. SDSU kept the 2-1 lead for the win thanks to stellar defense and great pitching by Moreno, who earned her second straight complete-game victory.
