April 27, 2019 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team knocked off No. 25 Colorado State 5-4 to even its weekend series Saturday afternoon at Ram Field in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs improved to 21-23 with the win and 8-9 in Mountain West play, while the league-leading Rams dropped to 35-8 and 16-4.

April 26, 2019 (Fort Collins, Colo.) - The San Diego State softball team lost its series opener at No. 25 Colorado State, 9-0, in six innings Friday afternoon in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs had their three-game winning streak snapped and are now 20-23 on the season and 7-9 in Mountain West play, while the Rams improved to 35-7 and 16-3.

April 23, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU softball was back in action tonight after a week-long break, hosting Cal Baptist for a non-conference matchup at SDSU Softball Stadium.  Sophomore Giana Lopez started for the Lancers against junior Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

April 14, 2019 (San Diego) - SDSU softball is climbing back into the competition.  Today, they finished off a series with San Jose State after splitting the first two games of the series with one win on Friday night and the Spartans winning last night.  Freshman Chrys Hildebrand started for the Spartans against junior Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

April 13, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State fell to San José State 6-2 on Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The weekend series is now tied at 1-1.

The Aztecs (18-22, 6-8 MW) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning when Taylor Adams was hit by a pitch and scored on a double by Kelsey Munoz.

April 12, 2019 (San Diego) - Shelby Thompson hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift San Diego State to a come-from-behind 3-2 win over San Jose State Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. It was the fifth walk-off victory for the Aztecs (18-21, 6-7 MW) this season.

April 7, 2019 (Reno) - The San Diego State softball team claimed the weekend series with Nevada in a 3-2 victory Sunday afternoon in Reno, Nev.

A day after recording 14 hits in a 10-2, five-inning win, the Aztecs (17-20, 5-7 MW) banged out 13 today in the victory. For the weekend series, SDSU hit .410 (34-for-83), while owning a .472 on-base percentage.

March 30, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped a 7-2 decision to UNLV Saturday night at SDSU Softball Stadium, clinching the series for the Rebels (24-7, 5-2 MW).

UNLV scored the first six runs of the game, starting with a triple by Kiley Harrison in the top of the second inning that scored Mia Trejo.

March 29, 2019 (San Diego) - Molly Sturdivant hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning in San Diego State’s 5-4 loss to UNLV Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. 

Down by a 5-0 score, the Aztecs (15-17, 3-4 MW) loaded the bases on a fielder’s choice, single by Katie Byrd (West Hills) and a Rebel (23-7, 4-2 MW) error with two outs. Sturdivant then took a 2-0 pitch over the left-center field fence to bring SDSU within one run. Shelby Thompson followed with a walk, but UNLV pitcher Jenny Bressler struck out Jessica Cordola to end the game.

The Aztecs (15-15, 3-2 MW) lost the opener to the Broncos (22-5, 2-3 MW) by a 7-0 score.

March 17, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State held off New Mexico, 4-3, to claim the weekend series Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium.

Leading 4-1 heading into the seventh inning, Aztec (14-14, 2-1 MW) pitcher Marissa Moreno allowed a two-run home run by Lauren Wilmert off the glove of right fielder Janina Jusay to bring the Lobos (8-18, 1-2 MW) to within a run. With no outs, Moreno retired the next three batters in order with a lineout and two groundouts to secure the win for SDSU.

March 5, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State gave up eight runs over the final two innings in a 9-0, six-inning loss to Florida Gulf Coast on a rainy Tuesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium.

With a 1-0 lead after four innings, the Eagles (9-9) scored three times in the fifth inning and five in the sixth to complete the run-rule victory.

March 3, 2019 (San Diego) - San Diego State ended its play in the San Diego Classic on a sour note in a 6-4 loss to Weber State Sunday afternoon at SDSU Softball Stadium.

The Aztecs (10-8), who on Friday night had seasons highs of 18 hits and 13 runs in a 13-8 win over UIC, but left a season-high 13 on base, was unable to come through with the timely hit today. SDSU left 10 runners on base, and finished 2-for-15 (.133) with runners on base and 2-for-12 (.167) with runners in scoring position.

It was the fourth walk-off win of the season for the Aztecs (9-7) and third victory when trailing heading into the final inning.

The Aztecs (8-7) outhit the Lions (7-5), 5-4, for the game, but were just 1-for-13 (.077) with runners on base and 1-for-7 (.143) with runners in scoring position.

The Aztecs fell to 7-6 on the season, while the Red Raiders improved to 13-0 with their third consecutive shutout at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic and fourth straight shutout overall.

February 21, 2019 (Fullerton) - San Diego State was unable to get its offense going in a 5-1 loss at Cal State Fullerton Wednesday in Fullerton, Calif. The Aztecs fell to 6-4 on the season.

SDSU managed only two hits in the game - both by Katie Byrd - off Titan (8-3) pitchers Janelle Rodriguez and Sophie Frost. San Diego State’s other baserunners in the game were Megan Smith (two walks), Kiera Wright (one walk) and Molly Sturdivant (hit by pitch).
