December 12, 2015 (San Diego’s East County) - In this time of heightened awareness in immigration reform, highlighted by Immigrants from Mexico and our country’s reluctance to allow into the country Syrian immigrants, Jacintha Griffith has written a fictional account of what it must be like for immigrants pursuing the American Dream, Coveting the Dream. Herself an immigrant, originally from the island of Grenada in the West Indies, this is her first novel – which from its design and literary craftsmanship many more will follow.

U.S. FOREST SERVICE SEEKS PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR PROPOSED LAND MANAGEMENT PLAN AMENDMENT

 
May 5, 2012 (San Diego) -- Forest Service officials are seeking public comments on a Proposed Amendment to the Land Management Plans for the four Southern California National Forests (including the Cleveland National Forest in San Diego County as well as the Angeles, Cleveland, Los Padres, and San Bernardino Forests.  The Proposed Amendment would modify existing land use zones allocations in selected roadless areas to include more back country non-motorized and recommended wilderness areas.  An alternate monitoring framework is also proposed.

WELLS FARGO TEAM MEMBERS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PERSONALLY DONATE $545,000 TO LOCAL NONPROFITS

 
November 17, 2011 (San Diego) – Wells Fargo & Company announced today that its team members donated $545,000 to nonprofit organizations and schools in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties as part of the company’s annual Community Support and United Way Campaign.  All donations were funded personally by team members. This year’s campaign resulted in a 22% percent year-over-year increase in donations from 2010.
