GOT TALENT? CASA DE ORO HOSTS OPEN MIC NIGHTS

September 10, 2019 (Spring Valley) – The Casa De Oro branch of the San Diego County Library will host an Open Mic Night on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.  All ages are welcome to come build performance skills with featured local musicians to help build a positive, education-based environment.
 
Bring your own instrument and gear.
 
The library is located at 9805 Campo Rd. #180 in Spring Valley.

WOOD’N’ LIPS HOSTS OPEN MIC THURSDAYS AT KAFFEE MEISTER IN SANTEE

November 15, 2012 (Santee) – Kaffee Meister a5 9225 Carlton Oaks Blvd., Santee is hosting Open Mic nights every Thursday evening.  The nights are hosted by the group Wood’n’ Lips, whose musicians, Gregory Gross, Bari Zwirn and Tim Woods, handle the lottery drawings for spaces and provide the guidelines for performers.

SPACE BAR INTERNET CAFE PRESENTS FEATURE POET KATE HARDING AT OPEN MIC NIGHT SEPT. 27

September 24, 2012 (La Mesa) – Space Bar Internet Café hosts an Open Mic night on the fourth Thursday each month from 7:30-10 p.m. at 7454 University Avenue, La Mesa.

This week, poet Kate Harding, a three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, will join host Jim Moreno.  Her first collection of poetry, "Santa Monica Disposal and Salvage," has earned praise from Steve Kowit, Marge Piercy and Diane Wakoski. Writing under the pen name Penny Perry and as Kate Harding, her poems have appeared in numerous magazines, including Poetry International, Earth's Daughters, Spillway, and the San Diego Poetry Annual. Kate is the fiction editor for the new on-line Knot Journal. She was a fellow at the American Film Institute and her movie, "A Berkeley Christmas" aired on PBS.

OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE SPACE BAR JULY 26

 

July 24, 2012 (La Mesa) – The Space Bar Internet Café  presents Open Mic Night with Jihmye on July 26 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 7454 University Ave., La Mesa.  Brandon Cesmot is the featured poet and Jim Moreno is hosting.

Cesmot has been among California’s most active poets and has won four San Diego Book Awards.  His poems have appeared in California Quarterly, Prism Review and Homestead Review among others.

April 16, 2012 (La Mesa) -- On the fourth Thursday of each month, the Space Bar Internet Café at 7454 University in La Mesa presents open mike night at 7:30 p.m.  The featured performer on April 26 will be Liz Huerta, a writer, who composes verse of truth and beauty interspersing moments of existential angst with human realizations.  Liz has lived in Barcelona, Mexico City and San Diego.
