SUPERVISOR DIANNE JACOB TO SPEAK AT LA MESA CHAMBER’S BREAKFAST FEB. 12

February 4, 2013 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Chamber of Commerce’s first Breakfast Meeting of 2013 will host Supervisor Dianne Jacob as Guest Speaker on February 12 from 7:15 – 9:00 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 4731 Date Street, La Mesa.  

The cost is $15 for Chamber members and $20 for potential members and guests.  The “At Door” cost will be $25 for all attendees.  The Attendance Drawing is currently valued at $800.00.

SHOCKEY FIRE LOCAL ASSISTANCE CENTER OPENS WEDNESDAY

Survivor Resource Center at Jacumba Library Will Be Open through Saturday

A Local Assistance Center (LAC) for residents who suffered losses in the Shockey Fire will be open starting Wednesday at the Jacumba Library, 44605 Old Highway 80, 91934.

The Assistance Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26, 27, 28 and 29. It is open to anyone who lost a home, suffered property damage or is otherwise impacted by the Shockey Fire. The site will assist residents with information, basic needs, and referrals to programs and services.

Supervisor warns of ‘purchased’ testimony from groups receiving SDG&E funding

SAN DIEGO— San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob is set to ask state regulators to reject a proposal by SDG&E that would force ratepayers to shoulder the costs of the 2007 wildfires and future wildfires. The California Public Utilities Commission is holding public hearings on the matter tomorrow at the Al Bahr Shriners Memorial Auditorium, 5440 Kearny Mesa Road, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

SHERIFF'S RANCHO SAN DIEGO STATION GROUNDBREAKING NOV 18

 

November 13, 2011 (San Diego County) -- The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Rancho San Diego Station on Friday, November 18t at 10:00 a.m.  Sheriff Bill Gore, Supervisor Dianne Jacob, community leaders and local law enforcement agencies in the East County will be in attendance.

March 25, 2010 (Rancho San Diego)- “Success for 2010” and a “Buy Locally” community campaign are the themes for the Rancho San Diego Jamul Chamber of Commerce 4th Friday breakfast meetings, which are held at different locations each month. The next event will be held March 26 from 7:30-9 a.m. at The Press Box Lounge, 2990 Jamacha Rd, Rancho San Diego.

Speakers include Supervisor Dianne Jacob (photo, left), who will provide a comprehensive overview on the economy, and San Miguel Fire Chief August "Augie" Ghio, who will address hot topics including impacts of funding challenges on our region.
