June 4, 2020 (La Mesa) -- “Crazy people burned down my bank!” a customer explained to the teller at a Chase branch on Grossmont Ave. early Monday, June 1.

Branches of Chase Bank and Union Bank were both burned to the ground after protests turned fiery late Saturday night. Despite riot police and other reinforcements from the San Diego Sheriff's department, La Mesa Police and Heartland Fire were overwhelmed as rioters overran the citywreaking havoc that slowed responses.

SURVEILLANCE PHOTOS OF BANK ROBBER RELEASED; AUTHORITIES SEEK PUBLIC HELP TO IDENITFY SUSPECT

 

 November 8, 2010 (San Diego) -- The FBI and San Diego Police Department seekthe public’s assistance to identify a man responsible for robbing the Chase Bank at 6116 Mission Gorge Road, San Diego, on Saturday, November 6th at 3 p.m. The robber made a verbal demand for money in a soft but intense tone of voice, according to FBI special agent Darrell Foxworth. At one point during he stated “don’t mess with me.” The teller provided the robber a sum of money and he left on foot.

CHASE BANK ON MISSION GORGE ROBBED

 

November 6, 2010 (San Diego) – Chase Bank at 6116 Mission Gorge Road in the Grantville area was robbed at 3:02 p.m. this afternoon, Sgt. Ray Battrick with the San Diego Police reports.

KNIFE-WIELDING ROBBER HOLDS UP BANK IN EL CAJON

 

May 25, 2010 (El Cajon) Chase Bank at 966 North Johnson in El Cajon was robbed at 9:45 this morning by a man who went behind the bank counter and contronted an employee with a knife, demanding cash.
