The Aztecs were edged out of the doubles point and could not put together enough singles victories to overcome the ranked Golden Bears.

Henderson has won the weekly award twice in two tries this year (also Jan. 16), two indoor awards for her career and five MW athlete-of-the-week awards overall (also three outdoor accolades).

January 30, 2018 (Tucson) - The San Diego State men's golf team finished in a tie for 10th place at the Arizona Intercollegiate on Tuesday after shooting a combined 6-over-par 290 during the final round at Sewailo Golf Club. With their score, the Aztecs completed their opening event of the spring with a 54-hole total of 46-over 898 on the par-71, 7,292-yard course layout.

January 27, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State seniors Geena Gomez and Khalia Lark scored 17 points apiece on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough as visiting UNLV roared back from an 18-point deficit to hand the Aztec women’s basketball team a disappointing 75-64 defeat in front of 4,568 fans at Steve Fisher Court on Girls and Women in Sports Day.

SDSU'S SAGE PROJECT LOOKING FOR LOCAL COMMUNITY PARTNER

January. 24, 2018 (San Diego) —  San Diego State University’s Sage Project is looking to partner with a local community for the 2018-19 academic year. As part of the collaboration, students assist with projects that directly address the partner community’s goals and in turn, better the quality of life for area residents.

During the 2016-17 academic year, the Sage Project partnered with the City of Lemon Grove. Students from 32 courses across 12 different disciplines designed and installed an art mural on the city’s community center, assisted in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping of thousands of data points and designed gateway signage, among other projects.

January 24, 2018 (San Diego) -- Pepe Aguilar will perform live in concert at the Viejas Arena at San Diego State’s Aztec Bowl on January 28th at 6:30 p.m.

The American born singer and songwriter raised in Mexico started singing on stage at three years old and he’s never left.  The son of Mexican music and film stars Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, he attained stardom in his own right with an album of romantic ballads in 1998. Since then, he’s embraced traditional Mexican rancheria and mariachi music as well as pop  music – a style that has won him multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards and sold over 12 million albums.

January 13, 2018 (Los Angeles) - Six divers from the San Diego State swimming and diving team completed the second day of competition at the Bruin Invite at UCLA on Saturday. The Aztecs had a trio of divers finish in the preliminary’s top 25 for 3-meter competition, with Alexandra Caplan leading the way with an 11th-place finish in the finals. The Aztecs were one of seven teams in the 13-team competition to have three or more divers finish in the top 25 of the preliminary round.
