March 9, 2018 (Fullerton) - San Diego State lost a pair of games at the Louisville Slugger Invitational Friday afternoon on the campus of Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Calif. The Aztecs (8-14) first dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 16/19 Ohio State before falling in the nightcap to Boston Univ. 5-2.

March 9, 2018 (San Diego) - T-No. 21 San Diego State dropped its first-ever Golden Coast game on Friday, falling to 12th-ranked LMU, 5-2, at Aztec Aquaplex. The loss moved SDSU to 27-1 all-time in GCC action.

The contest between two of the original members of the Golden Coast was a defensive battle as the Lions led after one half, 1-0, with Daniela Hernandez recording the goal.

Freshman forward Jalen McDaniels, meanwhile, was voted to the honorable mention squad. All selections were based on conference play only.

March 6, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team snapped its three-match losing streak with a solid 4-1 victory over Furman on Tuesday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center. The Aztecs came from behind to claim the doubles point and only allowed one Paladin victory in singles before clinching the match.

March 6, 2018 (Tuscon) - The San Diego State baseball team suffered a 13-4 setback to Arizona at Hi Corbett Field. The No. 25 Aztecs fall to 8-4 on the year, while Arizona evens its record to 6-6.

The Aztecs swung the bat well in the early stages of the game, scoring a pair of first-inning runs in thanks to a Jordan Verdon double scoring David Hensley and Julian Escobedo. An inning later, the Aztecs built that lead to 3-0 with leadoff hitter Matt Rudick bringing home Escobedo on a single through the left side of the inning.

March 5, 2018 (Flagstaff) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team had five divers in action at the NCAA Zone E Championships on the first day of competition featuring 1-meter action in a 59-diver field.

Alexandra Caplan led the Aztecs with a 13th-place finish, scoring at 266.90. Caplan’s effort was followed by sophomore Marie Yacopino, who placed 35th with a 234.05.

March 5, 2018 (Las Vegas) - Tenth-seeded San Diego State rallied from an 11-point first-half deficit and took the lead in the fourth quarter, but could not hold on as the Aztecs fell in overtime to seventh-seeded Nevada 95-84 in the first round of the Mountain West Championship on Monday afternoon.

March 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State softball was originally supposed to play Boston University at 7:00 p.m. last night and ECM was supposed to cover the last game of the San Diego Classic against UCLA today, but due to scheduling changes and rain, SDSU’s only game today is against the Terriers of BU.  Freshman Cali Dolfi started on the hill for BU against sophomore Marissa Moreno for the Aztecs.

Playing in its first night game of the season, SDSU snapped a two-game losing streak, improving to 3-2 overall, while the Bonnies remain winless on the year at 0-5.

ASU clinched the match with a doubles win and by claiming the first three singles matchups.

The Aztecs trailed by just four points entering the fourth quarter, but missed their first 11 shots of the quarter and the Broncos went on an 11-0 run, which the Aztecs could not overcome.
