April 22, 2023 (Phoenix) - The Padres and Dbacks have split the series so far. They looked to regain control tonight. Grossmont High alum Joe Musgrove starts against Merrill Kelly for Arizona.
Fernando Tatis Jr. finally showed up with a solo homer to left in the first. Matt Carpenter doubled to score Xander Bogaerts. Christian Walker singled in the home half of the first to score Ketel Marte and the Padres led 2-1 after one.
Walker put the Dbacks ahead with a two-run homer in the third and Arizona led 3-2 after three.
Ha-Seong Kim pulled through in the sixth with a ground ball single to left that scored two and the Padres jumped back out in front, up 4-3 after six.
Jake Cronenworth added one more with a single to center that scored Juan Soto and the Padres bounced back after a tough loss to win 5-3.

The rubber game tomorrow is at 1:10 p.m. Yu Darvish starts against Drey Jameson for Arizona.
