CITY’S NEW SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD TAKES ACTION ON FUNDS FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

April 27, 20011 (San Diego) – Newly sworn in members of the Oversight Board Successor Agency went straight to work yesterday, approving funding for continuing of approximately 800 projects in the pipeline.  The new board is the successor organization to the Centre City Development Corporation, which was required to dissolve following a December California Supreme Court decision upholding Legislative action.

LOCAL OFFICIALS REACT TO OBAMA’S DECISION TO REJECT KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE

February 1, 2012 (San Diego)--President Obama’s decision denying a permit to construct a controversial pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico has fueled strong responses.  Now local representatives offer their views on the project, which pits calls for construction jobs and  a domestic energy supply against potentially serious environmental and health impacts.

LEMON GROVE 2012 "HISTORY ALIVE" SERIES LAUNCHES JAN. 5 WITH HELIX WATER’S JOE YOUNG


January 1, 2012 (Lemon Grove)—“Joe Young, for more than three decades the go-to guy at the Helix Water District for all things H2O, will star on the next "History Alive" lecture,” announced Helen M. Ofield, president of the Lemon Grove Historical Society.  The lecture will be held Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. in the H. Lee House Cultural Center, 3205 Olive, Lemon Grove.
