SENATOR ANDERSON HOSTS HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE NOV. 21

 

November 18, 2013 (El Cajon) – Senator Joel Anderson cordially invites the public to a “Holiday Open House” at Toyota of El Cajon, 965 Arnele Avenue, on Thursday, November 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The holiday season is a time to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year. This open house will provide you with the opportunity to receive a 2013 legislative update and to submit your ideas to improve the state government.

20TH ANNUAL ALPINE FIRE DEPT. OPEN HOUSE ON OCTOBER 19

 

October 12, 2013 (Alpine) – The Alpine firefighters will be holding their 20th Annual Open House on October 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1364 Tavern Rd., Alpine.  It will be a fun day for the whole family with Fire K9 Pyro, Smokey the Bear, McGruff the crime dog and Sparky the fire dog.  The kids can enjoy face painting, balloons and a snake display.  Child I.D. and fingerprinting will be available courtesy of the Kiwanis Club.  There will also be food, fire displays, free gifts and raffles.

HUBBELL/ILAN-LAEL FOUNDATION OPEN HOUSE JUNE 16

May 27, 2013 (Santa Ysabel) – The Hubbell/Ilan-Lael Foundation will be holding an Open House Studio and Home Tour of renowned architect, James Hubbell's home and studio on June 16 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 930 Orchard Lane, Santa Ysabel.  A morning tour is offered between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.  The afternoon tours will be between 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

GROSSMONT COLLEGE INKS WORLD RECORD AT 50TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

 
April 15, 2012 (El Cajon)--Almost 1,800 people – in person and online – signed a giant birthday card for Grossmont College on Saturday, setting what appears to be a new world record.
 
The feat was achieved Saturday at Grossmont College’s 50th Anniversary Open House, a two-day free public celebration. Crowds lined up at Griffin Center to sign the 4 feet-by-4 feet card between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to help beat the previous record of 1,468 people signing a card during a one-day event. The final tally: 1,797 signatures, including 174 well-wishers who submitted their greetings on Grossmont College’s Facebook page.

April 12, 2012 (El Cajon) – On a day Grossmont College is celebrating its 50th anniversary with an open house full of activities for the public, the campus is also marking a new beginning with the dedication of the Student and Administrative Services Building and Griffin Center.  
 
A dedication ceremony, preceded by a flyover of vintage planes from Gillespie Field, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, on the Main Quad of the El Cajon campus.

MTS PLANS TO ADD BUS AND TROLLEY SERVICE: OPEN HOUSES ARE BEING HELD TO GET RIDER INPUT

 

An Open House at the El Cajon Transit Center will be held April 14 with others around the county throughout the month.

April 10, 2012 (San Diego) -- For the first time since the economic downturn began in 2008, the Metropolitan Transit System is planning to add Bus and Trolley services. MTS will hold several open houses at transit centers to get rider input on planned service improvements and the opportunity to learn about proposed changes and ask questions in an informal setting.

OPEN HOUSE AT CAJON VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL MARCH 28

March 24, 2012 (El Cajon) – On March 28 Cajon Valley Middle School is opening their doors to the public from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to showcase their new campus at 550 East Park Avenue, El Cajon.  The school is highlighting all the new programs taking place: computer labs, a community garden, newcomer classes, art, music and dance exhibitions, AVID and Writing for Change programs, an extended day program, athletics, clubs and tutorial support.

OnJanuary 18, San Diego Jewish Academy will welcome the community to explore its beautiful 56-acre campus and speak with faculty and current parents.

 
January 6, 2012 (San Diego) – San Diego Jewish Academy (SDJA) will host its Pre-K to 12 Open House on Wednesday, January 18, for both prospective parents and current SDJA families.  The event will provide an opportunity for parents and students to learn about the school, view classrooms and speak with faculty, staff and administrators.
