April 14, 2020 (San Diego) - A heavy week-long storm April 5-10 resulted in flooding and water damage for many homes and businesses. If your property or small business sustained damage from the rain, the County would like your help to estimate rain damages in our region.

July 27, 2015 (San Diego's East County) - If you suffered property damage from the storms July 17 or 18 generated by Hurricane Dolores, you can request a reassessment of your property and a reduction in your taxes until the property is repaired or rebuilt, City News Service reports.

MEASURE ALLOWING LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PROSECUTE HUMAN TRAFFICKERS UNDER CIVIL NUISANCE CODES SENT TO GOVERNOR

 
August 18, 2014 (Sacramento)—A measure which would permit law enforcement to prosecute human trafficking as a civil nuisance as well as a crime and direct recovered penalties to the victims of these crimes was on its way to Gov. Jerry Brown on a 76-0 vote.
 
Assemblymember Marty Block (AD-78) introduced the legislation, AB 2212, earlier this year.
