SENATOR JONES JOINS RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVES OCT. 12 AND 15 IN ESCONDIDO AND VALLEY CENTER

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Escondido and Valley Center for local residents to donate blood along with Senator Brian Jones (R-Santee), Escondido Chamber of Commerce, Valley Business Association, and representatives of the American Red Cross of San Diego.

Donors are must to make an appointment before showing up to donate in order to manage the flow of donors appropriately in alignment with social distancing practices.

RED CROSS OPENS EMERGENCY SHELTERS DUE TO POWER OUTAGES

December 7, 2017 (San Diego) -- The American Red Cross is opening two emergency shelters this morning at 9:00 a.m. in support of residents impacted by power outages. The shelters are in El Cajon and Escondido. ECM has contacted the County to ask why shelters have not been opened in mountain and rural areas, where many of the outages have occurred and ratepayers have been advised power could remain off for up to five days due to the high winds and extreme fire danger.

At this time, SDG&E reports more than 5,000 customers are without power. Extreme fire weather continues in San Diego County today.

AMERICAN RED CROSS CONTINUES SHELTER OPERATIONS FOR RESIDENTS DISPLACED DUE TO SHOCKEY FIRE



Red Cross will also join partners at County's Local Assistance Center Wednesday

September 25, 2012 (San Diego’s East County)--In response to the Shockey Fire, American Red Cross disaster workers are continuing shelter operations at Mountain Empire High School located at 3305 Buckman Springs Road, Pine Valley, 91962.

The Red Cross will also be joining the County’s Local Assistance Center (LAC) for residents who suffered losses in the fire. The LAC will open beginning Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Jacumba Library located at 44605 Old Highway 80, 91934. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26, 27, 28 and 29.
