COUNTY’S "LIVE WELL, SAN DIEGO!" IMPROVING THE REGION’S HEALTH

November 12, 2012 (San Diego) --  In summer of 2010, the County launched Live Well, San Diego!, a long-term plan to improve the health and well-being of all San Diego County residents. Today, the County Board of Supervisors received a report on the impact of Live Well, San Diego! on the region during the initiative’s second year. 

“The County is committed to improving the health and well-being of the region,” said Chairman Ron Roberts, County Board of Supervisors. “Live Well, San Diego! has made considerable progress and together we are building momentum to bring about positive change for residents.”

GROSSMONT HEALTHCARE DISTRICT HONORS HEALTHCARE HERO VOLUNTEERS

 

Grossmont Healthcare District honors Healthcare Hero volunteers
 
May 20, 2012 (East County) -- Two volunteer physicians, two members of a community service club and a hospice volunteer were among this year’s recipients of a 2012 Healthcare Hero award from the Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD).

SKATEBOARDER HIT BY VEHICLE IN LEMON GROVE

 

March 26, 2012 (Lemon Grove) – A 20-year-old skateboarder suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle at 7:35 last night while crossing the street in the 7300 block of Central Avenue in Lemon Grove.
 
According to Sergeant V. J. Rivera with the San Diego Sheriff, the victim “was wearing dark clothes and listening to his iPod.”
