SUSPECT WANTED FOR FELONY ASSAULT ON HOMELESS MAN FLEES AT HIGH SPEEDS, RAMS POLICE VEHICLE

June 25, 2024 (El Cajon) — A man accused of ramming his vehicle into a tent occupied by a homeless man in El Cajon, then fleeing from police and ramming a police vehicle into a concrete barrier, has been arrested.  Gabriel Quijas, 48, of Spring Valley is charged with assault with a deadly weapon on peace officers, and evading arrest with wanton disregard for safety.
 
Early yesterday morning at Prescott Promenade, 200 East Main St., El Cajon Police officers learned that the day before, “Quijas deliberately drove his vehicle into a tent occupied by a male homeless individual, following threats made to the victim,” says Lieutenant Will Guerin.

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR SERIES OF VIOLENT ASSAULTS IN EL CAJON

March 24, 2021 (El Cajon) – El Cajon Police have arrested 28-year-old Isaiah Ugaitafa for violent assaults in which he broke down the front doors of homes and attacked two residents, says Lt. Randy Soulard. He is charged with three felonies: hot prowl burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and elder abuse.

On Friday, March 19 at 2:15 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 400 block of South First Street, where a man had been seen by several residents acting strangely and talking to himself. A short time later, the suspect was seen breaking down the door of an elderly man’s home and attacking the senior with a metal pole, striking him in the face before fleeing the scene.

SANTEE ASSAULT FUGITIVE SOUGHT BY AUTHORITIES

 

 

August 2, 2014 (Santee)—The San Diego Sheriff’s Department and the San Diego Regional Fugitive Task Force (FTF) have issued a “be on the lookout” request to the public for Jacquiline Francine Jackson. She is wanted on charges of assault with a deadly weapon at a home in Santee. A no-bail felony warrant has been issued for her arrest.

FELONY ROBBERY AND ASSAULT SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CAMPO

May 31, 2014 (Lake Moreno)—A felon suspected of pepper spraying a clerk during a robbery and seriously injuring a man after striking him in the face with brass knuckles has been arrested.  James Ibarra, 29, was taken into custody on May 29 in the 2900 block of Evergreen Street in the Lake Morena area of Campo.
