21 ARRESTED IN DRUG BUST AT LINDO LAKES

January 30, 2020 (Lakeside) -- This morning deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff's Substation concluded a 10-month investigation into the sale of narcotics at Lindo Lake Park, Lakeside. Search and arrest warrants were served at multiple locations in Lakeside and El Cajon regarding the sales of methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.

Twenty-one suspects were taken into custody facing charges in State and Federal Court ranging from narcotics offences to outstanding warrants. During the operation methamphetamine and weapons were located and confiscated.

SANITATION ISSUES RAISED AT LINDO LAKE PARK

October 1, 2017 (Lakeside) –  Lakeside residents have raised concerns over sanitation at Lindo Lakes Park, where they said homeless people have urinated and defecated on walkways or steps in front of the restroom that until recently was locked at night.

WHERE ARE THE WEASELS? COUNTY RESPONDS TO QUESTIONS OVER GOPHER POISONS AT LINDO LAKE

August 18, 2016 (Lakeside) – Weasel-watching has been a popular pastime for photographers at Lindo Lake Park. But after the County applied poison to kill gophers, a reader of ours raised questions over what impact that could have on weasels, which have not been popping up in the area lately.

LAKESIDE PLANNING GROUP TO VOTE ON LINDO LAKE PARK IMPROVEMENTS TUESDAY

January 30, 2016 (Lakeside) – On Tuesday, February 2, the Lakeside Community Planning Group is expected to vote on over $250,000 in improvements to Lindo Lake Park. Final public comments will be heard from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the meeting in the Lakeside Community Center, 9841 Vine Street in Lakeside. After several community workshops, planning group members are set to approve a final design concept from among four plans considered.
