September 14, 2018 (San Diego) - McKenna Meyer claimed the top finish in San Diego State swimming and diving’s season-opening pentathlon meet against San Diego, leading SDSU to a 33-24 win over the Toreros. SDSU took each of the top seven individual spots and 13 of the top 15 overall.

February 18, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming and diving concluded the Mountain West Championships at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center and placed second for the team’s ninth consecutive top-three finish. The Aztecs finished with 1105.5 points, 144.5 points behind Mountain West champion Boise State.

February 17, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming and diving finished the third day of competition at the Mountain West Championships on Friday and currently stands in third place (734.5 overall points) heading into the final day of competition at the Palo Alto College Aquatic Center.

February 15, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team stands in second place after the second day of the Mountain West Championships at the Palo Alto Aquatic Center. The Aztecs currently have 451.5 total points after Thursday’s events, trailing MW championship leader Boise State (491 points) by 39.5 points.

February 15, 2018 (San Antonio) - The San Diego State swimming & diving team capped off the first day of the Mountain West championships with a share of first place with Nevada, owning 189 total points.

The Aztecs recorded a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay, with Alma Thormalm, Caitlin Delany, Summer Harrison and Klara Thormalm teaming up to post an SDSU season-best time of 1:38.69 – just .46 seconds behind first-place finisher Boise State.

January 19, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team defeated San Diego, 151-131, in a dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex on Friday to conclude the regular season. The Aztecs finish the 2017-18 dual meet schedule with an 11-1 record and now look towards the 2018 Mountain West Championships on Feb. 14-16 in San Antonio, Texas.

January 14, 2018 (Los Angeles) - Six divers from the San Diego State swimming and diving team concluded competition at the Bruin Invite on Saturday in platform competition. The final event of the Bruin Invite featured 49 divers from 13 different teams.

January 13, 2018 (Los Angeles) - Six divers from the San Diego State swimming and diving team completed the second day of competition at the Bruin Invite at UCLA on Saturday. The Aztecs had a trio of divers finish in the preliminary’s top 25 for 3-meter competition, with Alexandra Caplan leading the way with an 11th-place finish in the finals. The Aztecs were one of seven teams in the 13-team competition to have three or more divers finish in the top 25 of the preliminary round.

January 12, 2018 (Los Angeles) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team had six divers compete at the Bruin Invite at UCLA on Friday. The three-day event started with 1-meter competition, with two of SDSU’s six divers reaching the finals in the 55-diver field. The Aztecs were one of five teams in the 13-team field to have multiple divers reach the finals.

January 8, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State women’s swimming and diving team defeated New Mexico (158-142) and Fresno State (179-121) while falling to Colorado State (153-147) in an all-Mountain West quad meet at the Aztec Aquaplex on Monday. With the loss to Colorado State, SDSU sees a streak of 24 consecutive dual meet victories come to an end – a streak that began at the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

December 30, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team defeated Oregon State, 124-100, in a dual meet at the Aztec Aquaplex on Saturday. The Aztecs, now winners of 22 consecutive dual meets, have won five consecutive dual meets against the Beavers.

November 19, 2017 (San Diego) - The San Diego State swimming team finished the A3 Invitational in strong fashion Saturday evening, grabbing first place in five of six events on the final day of action at the Aztec Aquaplex. McKenna Meyer, who captured first place in each of the three finals she competed in while posting a first-place time in the 200 IM preliminaries on Thursday and being a part of a first-place 800 free relay team on Friday, earned Swimmer of the Meet honors for being the highest single-point getter for all female competitors. The Aztecs had a 153.5 point lead heading into the final day, but as of early Sunday morning, official team results are still to be recalculated.

October 7, 2017 (Fresno) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team capped a strong weekend performance, finishing the Chick-fil-A Invitational in second place (677 points) among five teams on Saturday afternoon. The Aztecs finished ahead of four Mountain West programs, topping Nevada (654.5), Fresno State (518), and San Jose State (460), while 2016-17 national runner-up Cal recorded 1318.5 points to bring home first-place honors.

October 6, 2017 (Fresno) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team recorded a strong first day at the Chick-fil-A Invitational at Fresno State University, capturing 443 points for a second-place standing. The Aztecs only trail 2016-17 national runner-up Cal, who leads the pack with 879 points.

October 5, 2017 (Malibu) - The San Diego State women’s swimming and diving team took a 133-74 decision against Pepperdine at Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool on Thursday afternoon.

“We mixed it up a bit today. We tried different athletes in different races,” said head coach Mike Shrader. “It provides a little bit of variety, and with the team having a lot of individual medley swimmers, that will hopefully make them stronger going forward.”

September 30, 2017 (Reno) - The San Diego State women’s swimming team placed second in the Nevada Relays with a team score of 152 on Saturday afternoon. Nevada placed first in the event with 186 points and UC Davis rounded out the three squads with a score of 102.

October 14, 2016 (San Diego) - San Diego State won seven individual swimming events, two relays and both diving competitions on Friday as it posted dual meet victories over UC San Diego (156.60-137.50) and Vanderbilt (168-94) at the Aztec Aquaplex. The wins improved SDSU to 4-0 on the season.
