TIPS SOUGHT IN FATAL CHOLLAS CREEK AREA HIT-RUN

July 9, 2020 (Chollas Creek) - Authorities reached out to the public Thursday for help in identifying a motorist involved in a hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian last week in a Chollas Creek-area neighborhood.

POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER IN CHOLLAS CREEK NEIGHBORHOOD

September 30, 2012 (San Diego) -- San Diego Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a murder that occurred on a Chollas Creek street this morning. At 5:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Sterling Court on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. They arrived to find the victim in front of a home, suffering from several apparent stab wounds. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. The victim died at the hospital this morning at 7:12 a.m.

November 7, 2011 (San Diego)--On October 20, USGS under contract with the City of San Diego began operations on a new deep monitoring well in the Chollas Creek vicinity near the intersection of Home Avenue and Federal Blvd. The well is the latest in a series of multiple-depth wells being drilled in selected areas of four coastal river basins for the San Diego Hydrogeology Project.
