August 27, 2021 (La Mesa) – A suspect accused of striking an 82-year-old man on the head and carjacking his Jeep Cherokee in La Mesa yesterday morning is under arrest. Tymody Wallace, 29, was arrested in Irvine on unrelated charges.

August 26, 2021 (La Mesa) -- La Mesa Police seek public help to find a suspect who assaulted an elderly, disoriented man and stole his 2016 silver Jeep Cherokee (CA license 7REG835) this morning. The vehicle is also still missing.

March 6, 2019 (La Mesa) – La Mesa Police have arrested four suspects accused of carjacking a taxicab early this morning at the Denny’s Restaurant on Alvarado Road. GPS tracking on the taxi enabled officers to quickly locate the vehicle and nab the suspects nearby.

A driver and his passenger told police that they were parked in the lot at the Guitar Center, 8825 Murray Drive in La Mesa, when a man with a revolver forced them out of the victim’s car. The suspect drove away in the victim's vehicle, a black1998 Honda Civic 4-door, CA license 4MDM901.
