May 11, 2018 (Clovis) - The San Diego State Track & Field team wrapped up the third day of the Mountain West Outdoor Championships Friday evening at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. On a warm and windy afternoon, the Aztecs dominated the prelims of the sprints and will send a combined 13 athletes to the finals in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes Saturday.

May 11, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State volleyball head coach Deitre Collins-Parker has revealed the team’s schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign, with the Aztecs slated to play five NCAA Tournament participants from a year ago.  In addition, SDSU will compete in four tournaments this fall, including two it will host prior to start of the Mountain West schedule of matches.

May 11, 2018 (San Diego) - Shelby Thompson homered and drove in three runs, and Julie McDonald pitched a four-hit complete game in a 6-1 San Diego State victory over Utah State Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (19-31, 10-13 MW) clinched the series with the win.

May 11, 2018 (San Diego) - SDSU baseball has been tearing through the Mountain West and they entered tonight, their last home series of the regular season, with a strong 33-15 (15-8 MW) record.  This weekend, they faced the third place San Jose State Spartans, who sit at 21-25 (11-12 MW).  Senior Jake Swiech started on the mound for the Spartans against junior Harrison Pyatt for the Aztecs.

May 10, 2018 (Clovis) - Asia Smith wrapped up the second day of the heptathlon Thursday evening, earning a fifth place finish at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Smith finished with a personal best 5,100 points and earned four crucial points for the Aztecs, who are seeking their fourth MW Outdoor Championship in the past six years.

May 8, 2018 (San Francisco) - San Diego State’s Mila Chaves (Asunción, Paraguay) fired a 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday to lead the Aztec women’s golf team during the second round of the NCAA San Francisco Regional at TPC Harding Park Golf Course. With her score, the SDSU senior carded the squad’s lone red figure of the day, jumping into a seven-way tie for fourth place individually at 3-under 141 heading into Wednesday’s final round on the par-72, 6,369-yard track.

Verdon joins SDSU junior designated hitter Chad Bible as the only players in the Mountain West to have won Player of the Week twice this season.

May 6, 2018 (Alberquerque) - San Diego State outhit New Mexico, 8-4, but left 11 runners on base for a third straight game in a 4-1 loss at Lobo Softball Field Sunday afternoon in Albuquerque, N.M. The Aztecs dropped to 17-31 overall and 8-13 in MW play, while the Lobos improved to 14-36 and 7-14 with the series win.

SDSU (32-15 overall) remains in second place in the Mountain West standings with a 14-8 league record, while UNM jumps to 16-29-1 overall and 9-17 in the Mountain West.

April 28, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State baseball team captured a series win over UNLV on Saturday night, defeating the Rebels 7-6 at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Aztecs improve to 29-14 on the year and 12-7 in the Mountain West while UNLV falls to 29-16 and 10-10 in conference play.

April 28, 2018 (Gold River, Calif.) - San Diego State’s women’s rowing raced in the preliminary events of the WIRA Championships Saturday morning on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. The Aztecs earned lane two in the varsity eight, the third lane in the second varsity eight and the first lane position in the varsity four for Sunday’s final races.
