October 23, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior defender Stacie Moran has been named the Mountain West Women’s Soccer Player of the Week, the league announced Monday morning. The award is the first for SDSU this season and the third of Moran’s career.

October 23, 2017 (San Diego) - Fresh off a pair of impressive victories over Boise State and Utah State, the San Diego State volleyball team collected two Mountain West awards on Monday as Gabi Peoples (Beaverton, Ore.) was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Devyn Pritchard (Temecula, Calif.) was selected Defensive Player of the Week. The two accolades were the first career honors for the Aztec teammates.

October 22, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State cruised to a 3-0 victory over Colorado State in its regular-season home finale thanks to, in part, a two-goal performance by Mia Root and a two-assist effort by Aliyah Utush. The win moved the Aztecs to 9-7-2 overall and 6-2-2 in the Mountain West, while the Rams fell to 4-9-5 (2-5-3 MW).

The Aztecs are now 4-9-0 (0-5-0 Pac-12) on the year, while the Bruins jump above .500 in both their overall record (6-5-0) and Pac-12 record (3-2-0).

To be considered for the award, the student-athletes must have earned a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the academic year.
