July 25, 2016 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s basketball head coach Stacie Terry revealed the team’s 2016 non-conference schedule Monday, with an invitation to the Seton Hall Tournament over Thanksgiving Weekend and a December home date with Big Ten member Michigan, highlighting the Aztecs’ 11-game slate.

July 24, 2016 (El Cajon) -  For the second time in three years, Grossmont College has won the Chet DeVore Award for having the most successful men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic program in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

July 23, 2016 (Washington D.C.) - It felt good to win last night.  So good, in fact, that the Padres wanted to do it again tonight in game two against the Nationals.  Edwin Jackson, who pitched a sensational game last Sunday at Petco, started on the hill against Max Scherzer for Washington.

July 21, 2016 (St. Louis) – It has been a very bad series for the Padres in St. Louis.  But tonight they got one more chance to avoid a sweep.  Andrew Cashner—despite swirling rumors that he could’ve been traded before his scheduled start tonight—was on the mound for San Diego against Adam Wainwright for the Cards.

July 20, 2016 (San Diego) - The San Diego State University women's basketball team has scheduled another session for its Elite Camp for August 5 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the new Jeff Jacobs JAM Center at SDSU.  Also, the team announced that spots are still open for the Girls High School Team Camp August 6 and 7.

July 10, 2016 (Los Angeles) – The Padres won’t be able to get a nice four-game sweep before the All-Star break, but they did have the chance for a clean split.  Christian Friedrich started on the hill against Kenta Maeda—the Japanese phenom who gave the Padres such a headache in that opening series--for the Dodgers.

July 7, 2016 (Los Angeles) - After (finally!) a series win against the Diamondbacks, the Padres traveled back to California to take on the NL West rival Dodgers in a four-game series before the All-Star break.  Drew Pomeranz started for San Diego against the recently activated Hyun-Jin Ryu for the Dodgers.

July 5, 2016 (Phoenix) – The Padres celebrated Independence Day with a four-run win over the Diamondbacks.  They looked to get two in a row today with Christian Friedrich on the mound against Zack Godley for Arizona.

July 3, 2016 (San Diego) – Over there, over there, send the word, send the word over there, that the Yanks are coming, the Yanks are coming, the drums rum-tumming everywhere…the Pads and Yanks finished up their series on the eve of the Fourth of July and it’s almost like they wanted me to open this recap by singing Over There with this scheduling.  Andrew Cashner, recently reinstated from the DL, started for the Padres today against Chad Green for New York.
