CAMPO MAN, 20, FOUND DEAD AT CRASH SITE

September 22, 2018 (Campo) – Jonathan Jaroslav Shuster, 20, of Campo is dead of injuries sustained in a vehicle crash. 

His Honda Civic was found early September 16th by a driver on Church Road on the Campo Native American reservation.  The vehicle had sustained major damage from an apparent collision and Shuster had sustained fatal injuries.

ENGINEERING WITH LEGOS® WINTER CAMP FOR AGES 7 – 12 YEARS

December 15, 2012 (La Mesa)--Become a Play-Well Engineer! Students explore concepts in physics, architecture, mechanical and structural engineering, from Gear Cars to Battletracks. The engineer-designed curriculum challenges new and returning students to reach higher level of engineering comprehension while having fun.

Camp meets four days, Monday, December 31 through Friday, January 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Camp will not meet on Tuesday, January 1. Over 1000,000 pieces of LEGOS® are used. Campers should bring a snack and water bottle each day, everything else is provided at camp. This camp is not affiliated with the LEGO® Group.

SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP FOR KIDS AT GROSSMONT COLLEGE JUNE 25-28

 
June 18, 2012 (El Cajon) -- Grossmont College women’s basketball coach Karen Caires will host a summer basketball camp for boys and girls, grades 1 through 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 25 to 28, at the Grossmont College gymnasium. Coach Caires’ camp, called C.A.M.P (Caring About Motivating People), is designed to teach the game of basketball to today’s youth, as well as incorporate valuable life skills, including hard work, determination, attitude and a passion to achieve.

“ BROTHER/SISTER” TEAM SENDING CHILDREN TO WHEELCHAIR CAMP!

 

June 9, 2012 (San Diego) -- Sister and brother team, Danamarie, 17 and Collin McNicholl-Carter, 14 from La Mesa have been bringing awareness to the San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation (SDASF) by recruiting their friends to walk in the 3rd annual “Stroll and Roll” events since 2010. Over 250 people attended this year’s event on May 20, 2012 to walk and/or roll in wheelchairs to raise money to send children to SDASF Jr. Wheelchair Sports Camp on Mission Bay.

THE DOG BLOG: RATTLESNAKE SEASON HAS BEGUN….

March 23, 2012 (San Diego's East County) -- Do you live in a rural area? Do you hike or camp with your dog?  If so, you have to be aware that there could be rattlesnakes or other poisonous snakes on and off of the trails and could even come into your yard or neighborhood. Do you know what your dog would do if he/she saw a rattlesnake? Many dogs inadvertently get bit by just sniffing in the bushes. Some are more curious when they see one and try to get closer to get a better look. Others are completely unaware and step right over top of them.
