March 30, 2018 (Las Vegas) - San Diego State’s women’s tennis team traveled to Las Vegas, Nev., on Friday, March 30, when it dropped a close match to the Rebels, 4-3. The Aztecs secured the doubles point, but faced challenges in singles action and couldn’t put together three additional points for a victory.

March 29, 2018 (Boise) - San Diego State hit the road for its return to Mountain West competition on Thursday night, but was unable to put all the pieces together in a 4-1 setback to host Boise State at Appleton Tennis Center.

March 29, 2018 (San Diego) - Well, it’s finally here.  Opening Day. The smell of freshly cut grass fills downtown San Diego.  And California weather is done with its usual act-like-a-normal-state-and-give-my-citizens-actual-winter-weather-three-months-after-the-holidays phase and is ready for spring too,  The only thing we were waiting on is the Padres. Will they do well? Will they stink? Did spring training pay off? Let’s start baseball 2018! In today’s first game against the Brewers (kind of a welcome change from getting clobbered by the Dodgers for the past two Opening Days), Chase Anderson started for Milwaukee against Clayton Richard.

March 28, 2018 (Rancho Santa Fe) - The San Diego State women’s golf team wrapped up its lone home tournament of the year on Wednesday with a narrow setback to top-ranked UCLA in the fifth-place match of the SDSU March Mayhem event at The Farms Golf Club.

March 27, 2018 (Rancho Santa Fe) - The San Diego State women’s golf team defeated Colorado 3-2 in its consolation match on Tuesday in the sixth annual SDSU March Mayhem tournament at The Farms Golf Club.

March 27, 2018 (Long Beach) - The No. 23/23 San Diego State baseball team improved to 17-7 on the year after defeating Long Beach State, 5-2, at Blair Field on Tuesday night. The Aztecs are now 8-2 in their last 10 games while Long Beach State falls to 10-15 on the 2018 campaign.

March 27, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State’s late rally came up short in a 4-2 loss to San Diego Tuesday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (9-21) dropped to 54-5 all-time against the Toreros (20-15) with the setback.

March 26, 2018 (Rancho Sante Fe) - The San Diego State women’s golf team finished in seventh place during the medal round at the SDSU March Mayhem event on Monday, firing a collective 14-over-par 302 at The Farms Golf Club. With their total, the Aztecs secured a berth in the championship bracket of match play, but fell to Texas by a count of  3 ½ - 1 ½ in their first-round battle later in the afternoon.

March 25, 2018 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State baseball team exploded for 22 runs and 23 hits in a 22-7 drubbing of UNLV on Sunday, leaving the Aztecs with its fifth consecutive weekend series win and now have sole possession of second place in the Mountain West, sitting just a half-game back of Nevada (7-2 MW), which defeated Fresno State earlier today. The Aztecs improve to 16-7 on the year (6-2 MW), while UNLV falls to 20-5 (6-3 MW).

March 24, 2018 (San Diego) - No. 21 San Diego State cruised to a 12-2 home victory over Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday evening at a partly sunny Aztec Aquaplex. SDSU’s second straight win improved the Aztecs’ record to 10-12, while the Otters fell to 4-15.

March 24, 2018 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State baseball team used a season-high 17 runs to defeat UNLV, 17-8, at Earl E. Wilson Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Aztecs now even the weekend series heading into tomorrow’s rubber game and improve to 15-7 (5-2 MW), while the Rebels fall to 20-4 (6-2 MW).

March 23, 2018 (Glendora, Calif.) - No. 21 San Diego State withstood a fourth-quarter rally by T-No. 25 Azusa Pacific and prevailed in overtime, winning, 10-8, at Citrus College. With the victory, the Aztecs improved to 9-12 overall and 2-1 in Golden Coast action. The Cougars, meanwhile, dropped to 12-11 (1-2 GCC).

March 21, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State lost its seventh consecutive dual match Wednesday night after falling to Liberty in the nightcap of a non-conference doubleheader at Aztec Tennis Center.

Coupled with a 4-2 defeat to visiting Denver earlier in the day, SDSU slips to 2-14 on the year, while the Flames won their second straight, improving to 11-8 on the year.

March 21, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State's Gioia Carpinelli (Boppelsen, Switzerland) was selected as Mountain West Co-Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. The Aztec freshman captured her first career weekly conference award following her performance at the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational March 16-17 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
