March 5, 2018 (San Diego) - Two Aztecs earned All-Mountain West Honors, the conference office announced Monday morning. Senior guard McKynzie Fort was named to the All-Defensive Team and was an honorable mention selection for the All-Conference team and Najé Murray was named to the All-Freshman Team.

March 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State senior guard Trey Kell has been named the Mountain West Player of the Week, the league announced today from its temporary offices in Las Vegas in preparation for this week’s MW Championship. The award is the second of his career and the second of the season for SDSU.

March 2, 2018 (San Diego) - West Hills High grad Katie Byrd’s two-out triple in the bottom of the fourth inning led the San Diego State softball team past No. 21/20 Minnesota 6-2 Friday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (8-11), however, lost the nightcap to CSUN 2-0.

March 2, 2018 (Tempe) - The San Diego State women’s tennis team played its second nationally-ranked opponent of the season on Friday when it visited No. 33 Arizona State, where the Aztecs dropped a 4-0 match to the Sun Devils at the Whiteman Tennis Center. ASU clinched the match with a doubles win and by claiming the first three singles matchups.

March 2, 2018 (Surprise, Ariz.) - Padres spring training is well underway.  They look...well, about as well as you’d expect the Padres to look, only a lot better thanks to Eric Hosmer.  They’re 3-3 with a tie against the Rangers yesterday.  Today they faced the Kansas City Royals. Danny Duffy started for the Royals against newly-acquired former Yankee Bryan Mitchell for the Padres.

March 1, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State picked up a 3-1 win over UCF in the first game of the San Diego Classic I Thursday night at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (7-10) have now won six of their last eight games.

February 28, 2018 (San Diego) - Ashley Henderson and Bonnie Draxler will represent the Aztecs at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, Texas March 9-10. This is the second year in a row the Aztecs have sent two athletes to the Indoor Nationals.

February 28, 2018 (Westlake Village, Calif.) - Battling adverse weather, the San Diego State men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Southwestern Invitational after shooting a combined 7-over-par 295 on Tuesday during the final round at North Ranch Country Club.

February 27, 2018 (Irvine) - The San Diego State baseball fell to UC Irvine, 9-4, at Anteater Ballpark on Tuesday night. The Aztecs head into next weekend’s conference series with a 6-3 record, while UC Irvine improves to 6-2 on the year.

February 27, 2018 (San Luis Obispo) - Buoyed by two top-10 individual placements, the San Diego State women’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Bruin Wave Invitational on Tuesday after posting a collective 15-over-par 303 during the final round at a chilly San Luis Obispo Country Club.

February 26, 2018 (Westlake Village, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team remains in fifth place at the Southwestern Invitational after play was suspended midway through the second round on Monday due to darkness. The Aztecs, who sit at 17-over par through holes 11-13, endured a two-hour delay for frost earlier in the morning at the par-72, 6,994-yard layout at North Ranch Country Club.

February 26, 2018 (San Diego) - The San Diego State lacrosse team picked up two additional Mountain Pacific Sports Federation awards on Monday as redshirt sophomore Katy Sharretts garnered Defensive Player of the Week accolades, while freshman Bailey Brown collected her second straight Rookie of the Week certificate, as announced by the league office.
