POW-WOW AT SDSU MARCH 17 RECALLS ANCIENT KUMEYAAY TRADITIONS

February 18, 2012 (San Diego) -- The 41st annual American Indian Pow-Wow will be held on March 17 at San Diego State University.

This free event, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the San Diego State Alumni Association, Viejas Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, and the SDSU President's Leadership Fund.

Gourd dancing begins at 11 a.m. with a grand procession at 12 noon at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center.

February 6, 2012 (La Mesa) -- The La Mesa Centennial kicks off on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 3:00–3:30 p.m. at the La Mesa Blvd. Trolley Station, where the City Council and Centennial donors will ride a specially wrapped La Mesa Centennial trolley to the Trolley Station.  You will be able to remember the event with a free Centennial keepsake that will be given away at the unveiling.
