May 28, 2017 (Alberquerque) - For the fourth time in the last five years, San Diego State is the Mountain West baseball champion, this time coming from behind to defeat Fresno State 5-3 Sunday afternoon in the title game in Albuquerque, N.M.

May 27, 2017 (Alberquerque) - San Diego State fell victim to the tourney run rule as it dropped a 12-1 decision to Fresno State in seven innings at the Mountain West Tournament in Albuquerque, N.M. The result means both team have a loss and it will all come down to a single game for the 2017 conference championship on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. MT at Santa Ana Star Field.

May 26, 2017 (Alberquerque) - San Diego State scored three late runs, then held off a New Mexico comeback attempt as it defeated the Lobos 9-8 at the Mountain West Tournament being contested this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. The victory sends SDSU into the tourney title game on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. where one more win would give them the conference title.

May 23, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State had 13 football players selected to the Athlon Sports preseason all-Mountain West team, the magazine recently announced. The back-to-back Mountain West champion Aztecs had a league-high 14 selections overall with senior Rashaad Penny (Norwalk, Calif.) named to the first team as a running back and a kick returner.

May 18, 2017 (San Diego) - A school-record six San Diego State softball players have been named to the all-NFCA West Region teams, the NFCA announced Thursday. The six selections easily broke the Aztecs’ previous best of four (2013 and 2015) as only six teams in the country had more players on their all-region team than SDSU this year.
