August 7, 2017 (Cincinnati) - Yesterday’s walk-off by the Pirates was heartbreaking, but tonight, the Padres started a new series with a new team, the Reds, for four games.  Jhoulys Chacin started game one tonight against Tim Adleman for the Reds.

LA TO HOST 2028 SUMMER OLYMPICS

August 7, 2017 (Los Angeles) - On July 31, Los Angeles announced a deal to give up their bid to host the 2024 summer Olympics and instead host the 2028 Olympics.  Paris will now host the 2024 Olympics.

The tournament features seven teams, two of which will represent the United States.

July 25, 2017 (San Diego) - What’s different about this year’s Padres is that, instead of losing without making an effort, they actually are making an effort.  They’re still losing most of their games, but the scores are a lot closer.  Last night against the Mets, the final score was 5-3.  Believe it or not, the Padres are improving.  But they still looked for a win tonight against Seth Lugo, who was on the hill for the Mets against Kyle Lloyd.

SDSU’s schedule features five regular season meets, three of which will take place in Southern California. Visits to California’s capital and Las Vegas also appear on San Diego State’s ledger.
