August 22, 2017 (St. Louis) - The Padres said goodbye to Petco Park again and found themselves in St. Louis taking on the Cardinals and hoping to get the bats hot again.  Clayton Richard started tonight’s game one against Lance Lynn for the Cardinals.

August 21, 2017 (San Diego) - Pablo Pelaez of the San Diego State men’s soccer team was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Best XI Second Team on Monday. The honor comes just under two weeks after being named to the 2017 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List, known as the most prestigious individual award in college soccer.

August 20, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State earned its first victory of the season, defeating UC Davis 1-0 at a sun-splashed SDSU Sports Deck Sunday afternoon. The decision evened the Aztecs’ record at 1-1 and supplied head coach Mike Friesen with his program-record 123rd career win.

August 17, 2017 (Portland, Ore.) - San Diego State’s Haleigh Krause (Eugene, Ore.) captured medalist honors at the Oregon Women’s Stroke Play Championship on Wednesday after posting a combined 3-under-par 141 at Rose City Golf Club. The Aztec rising senior led wire-to-wire, carding rounds of 72-69 to become the lone competitor in the 47-player field to finish the 27th annual tournament below par.

It is the third preseason All-America team that Penny has made as a kick returner as he was also a second-team honoree by Phil Steele Magazine and a third-team pick by Athlon Sports.

Three players began showing symptoms on Saturday, SDSU Senior Associate Athletic Director of Communications and Media Mike May told 10 News.

August 12, 2017 (Fullerton) - San Diego State endured a 49-minute delay before the start of the game and surrendered a goal in the first 68 seconds in a 1-0 exhibition loss at Cal State Fullerton. Outside of the lone goal, the Aztecs showed promise, outshooting the Titans 12-4 for the contest.
