February 25, 2017 (Cathedral City, Calif.) - The San Diego State softball team opened up its play in the prestigious Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a split against a pair of 2016 NCAA tournament teams Friday night in Cathedral City, Calif. The Aztecs (5-5) first run-ruled Oklahoma State 17-5 in six innings before falling to No. 1/1 Florida State 6-4 in the nightcap.

February 25, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State baseball played their first game in the second annual Tony Gwynn Baseball Classic tonight against the University of Tennessee.  The Classic was originally supposed to last until Sunday, but due to inclement weather, it has been reduced to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with UC Irvine opening the tournament against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame on Thursday night.  Senior lefty Brett Seeburger got the start for the Aztecs against another southpaw, junior Zach Warren for Tennessee.  The Volunteers faced Seton Hall earlier in the day.

February 24, 2017 (San Diego) - After a 12-day hiatus, the San Diego State men’s tennis team showed no rust on Friday, posting an impressive 6-1 victory over Saint Mary’s in a non-conference dual match at Aztec Tennis Center. With the win, SDSU evens its record at 4-4 on the year, while the Gaels drop to 3-4 overall.

February 23, 2017 (Fullerton, Calif.) - In a game that went back and forth, San Diego State had the final say as it defeated No. 7/11 Cal State Fullerton, 5-4, Wednesday evening at Goodwin Field. With the win, the Aztecs improved to 3-2 on the season while Fullerton saw its recorded drop to 2-2.

February 21, 2017 (La Quinta, Calif.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team remains in a third-place tie after shooting a 5-over-par 289 on Tuesday during the second round of The Prestige at PGA West.  The Aztecs vaulted into the lead midway through the day, opening up a six-shot advantage at one point, before slipping back into the third position at 3-over 571, along with Iowa State.

February 17, 2017 (College Station, Tx.) - The San Diego State swimming and diving team moved up into sole possession of second place at the end of the third day of 2017 Mountain West Championships being contested at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Included in the team’s performance on Friday was a new school record in 100 butterfly, Aztec’s first victory in an individual event and five times that entered the SDSU top 10 lists.

The Aztecs (3-4) first downed the Highlanders (1-5), 3-0, before falling to No. 8/9 Washington, 6-5, later in the night.
