April 8, 2017 (San Diego) - Dillan Shrum’s home run in the top of the 11th inning ended a 1-1 stalemate and propelled Nevada to a 3-1 victory over San Diego State Saturday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The two-run homer to right field was the first of the season for the freshman first baseman, who was responsible for driving in all three of the Wolf Pack’s runs on the day.

April 8, 2017 (Tempe, Ariz.) - The San Diego State women’s golf team moved up one spot into 10th place on Saturday after shooting a 4-over-par 292 during the second round of the PING/ASU Invitational at Karsten Golf Course. With their total, the Aztecs find themselves nine shots out of the top five with a 54-hole score of 14-over 590 heading into Sunday’s final round on the par-72, 6,337-yard layout.

April 8, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State used a four-run fourth inning to break a 1-1 tie and went on to defeat Nevada, 6-3, Friday evening at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The win, coupled with New Mexico’s loss at San Jose State earlier in the day, moved the Aztecs to within one game of the league-leading Lobos in the conference standings.

The win moved SDSU to 14-12 overall and 5-0 in the Golden Coast Conference, while UOP fell to 14-8 and 3-1 in league action.

Adding star power to the trip is famed skateboarder Ryan Sheckler who will help break in the new park.

April 5, 2017 (San Diego) -  Former San Diego State football center Arthur Flores (Denver) has been named to the 2017 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame announced today. To be eligible for the award, the athlete must own at least a 3.2 undergraduate GPA, complete his final year of eligibility in 2016 and be a starter or significant contributor throughout the 2016 campaign.

The contest was played at The Diamond, the home facility of the Lake Elsinore Storm, the Class-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres.

April 3, 2017 (Fresno) - Playing its first road game in over a month, the San Diego State lacrosse team traveled to the Central Valley on Monday, but came up on the short end of 17-12 score to Fresno State in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game. With the setback, the Aztecs slip to 8-4 on the season and 2-2 in conference play, while the Bulldogs raise their record to an identical 8-4 mark overall and 1-3 in the MPSF.

Brown’s two-out hit got an assist from the sun, as the Spartan center fielder was unable to track what appeared to be a routine fly ball.

March 28, 2017 (Los Angeles) - For the second time in three weeks, USC held the San Diego State scoreless over nine innings, this time registering a 2-0 victory over SDSU Tuesday evening at Dedeaux Field in Los Angeles. SDSU could not dent the run column in two meetings with the Trojans this season, losing by a 1-0 score line San Diego back on March 7.

March 28, 2017 (Eugene, Ore.) - The San Diego State men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Duck Invitational on Tuesday after firing a combined 8-over-par 292 during the final round at Eugene Country Club.  The Aztecs were unable to gain ground in the standings, however, completing the 28th annual event with a 54-hole total of 17-over 869 on the par-71, 7,020-yard track.
