March 18, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped a 7-6 decision to Fresno State Saturday at SDSU Softball Stadium. The Aztecs (16-11, 0-2 MW) and Bulldogs (19-9, 2-0 MW) combined for 29 hits in the game, which featured three lead changes.

March 18, 2017 (Gold River, Calif.) - The San Diego State rowing team traveled to Lake Natoma on Saturday where it finished first in six of seven races, with wins over American Athletic Conference foe Sacramento State and Saint Mary’s. The Aztecs raced eight boats in seven scheduled events today, first in morning races against the Hornets and versus the Gaels in the afternoon.

March 18, 2017 (Bakersfield) - No. 12 San Diego State completed a four-game-in-three-day stretch on Saturday by splitting two games at the Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield. The Aztecs defeated Cal State East Bay, 15-4, before falling to No. 11 Princeton, 5-4. The two decisions put SDSU’s record for the season at 11-9.

March 17, 2017 (San Diego) -  San Diego State tried to right the ship in its second match of the San Diego Spring Break Tournament, but still encountered rough waters in a 4-1 defeat to Harvard in the consolation round Friday at Aztec Tennis Center. With the result, SDSU was unable to avoid its fourth loss in a row, falling to 5-9 on the year, while the Crimson improve to 9-7 overall.

SDSU was blanked for the third straight match, all by top 30 opponents, falling to 5-8 on the year, while the Ducks won their fourth in a row to raise their record to 12-2 overall.

March 15, 2017 (San Diego) – Back in 1897, President William McKinley was sworn in as President of the United States. Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in England. The Klondike gold rush began, and San Diego State University was born. This week, the university is celebrating it 120th anniversary.

With the win the Aztecs improved to 11-6 on the season while the Toreros saw the end of a four-game win streak with their record settling in at 10-4. USD came into the contest ranked No. 25 by D1Baseball.com and just outside the Collegiate Baseball top 25 (26th) this week.

With his result, the Aztec junior logged his fourth career top-five placement and second of the year, completing the tournament at 6-under-par 210.

March 12, 2017 (Long Beach) - Junior Jenavee Peres (Garden Grove, Calif.) hit a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning to lift the San Diego State softball team to a 6-1 victory over Harvard Sunday afternoon at Long Beach State. It was the third straight win for the Aztecs (16-9) in their final non-conference game of the season.

March 12, 2017 (Stillwater, Okla.) - Facing its highest-ranked opponent since January 2016, the San Diego State men’s tennis team had its hands full against No. 4 Oklahoma State Sunday, dropping a 4-0 decision in a non-conference dual match at Greenwood Tennis Center. With the setback, the Aztecs fall to 5-7 overall, while the Cowboys, boasting three nationally ranked singles players and two doubles tandems, won their fifth straight to improve to 13-3 on the season.

March 11, 2017 (Marina Del Ray, Calif.) - The San Diego State rowing team traveled to Ballona Creek on Saturday where it placed third in all four races against UCLA and Stanford.

The Aztecs raced in four of the five scheduled events this morning, beginning with the third varsity eight at 8:15 a.m. where SDSU clocked in at 7.26.0 behind Stanford (6.57.5) and UCLA (7.11.9). Shortly after in the varsity four, Stanford clocked in at 7.34.0, UCLA finished in 7.40.8, and the Aztecs recorded a time of 8.05.7.

March 11, 2017 (Stillwater, Okla.) - The San Diego State men’s tennis opened its weekend excursion to the nation’s heartland Saturday, falling to No. 26 Memphis in a neutral-site dual match at Greenwood Tennis Center on the campus of Oklahoma State University. With the loss, the Aztecs slip to 5-6 on the season, while the Tigers raise their record to 11-3 overall.
