November 10, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s basketball opened the 2017-18 campaign with a bang, knocking down 12 3-pointers, the most in a season opener in 15 years, to beat Presbyterian 77-50 Friday afternoon.

Women’s basketball senior guards Geena Gomez and McKynzie Fort and men's basketball junior guard Jeremy Hemsley were also on hand to answer a few questions.

September 29, 2017 (San Diego) – Former San Diego State University assistant basketball coach Anthony “Tony” Bland helped propel the Aztecs to the NCAA tournament for all four years at SDSU from 2009 to 2013, before moving on to coach at the University of Southern California.  But this week, the U.S.  Attorney’s Office in New York’s southern district announced the arrest of four Division I Coaches including Bland and six others in a college basketball and corruption scheme.

June 13, 2017 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s basketball and the Mountain West have announced the Aztecs’ league schedule for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Each team in the conference plays eight of the other 10 teams twice and plays two opponents once. This year, the Aztecs will not host Utah State, nor will they travel to New Mexico.

April 11, 2017 (San Diego) - Steve Fisher, San Diego State’s all-time winningest coach and the winningest coach in Mountain West history, announced today that he is retiring as the head basketball coach at SDSU. Fisher, 72, will continue to work at the University in a part-time capacity.
