San Diego FC to face Portland in MLS playoff game Sunday

Nov. 3, 2025 (San Diego) -- San Diego FC and the Portland Timbers will be playing for the opportunity to advance in the Major League Soccer playoffs this Sunday after Portland beat SDFC 3-2 in a penalty shooutout Saturday night in Portland.
 
San Diego FC beat the Timbers 2-1 on Oct. 26, but couldn't put the second match away after regulation time.
 
The Nov. 1 match at Providence Park was a 2-2 draw during regulation, with San Diego FC forwards Amahl Pellegrino and Chucky Lozano each scoring goals. Kristoffer Velde and Gage Guerra scored for Portland in the match.

San Diego FC playoff-bound this weekend at Snapdragon Stadium

Oct. 23, 2025 (San Diego) -- It's been quite a start for the San Diego Football Club.

In its inaugural Major League Soccer season, the team is headed to the playoffs.

San Diego FC will host its first playoff match Sunday, Oct. 26, at Snapdragon Stadium when the team faces the Portland Timbers in Game 1 of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Best-of-Three series.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with coverage available on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.

March 24, 2024 (San Diego) – Major League Rugby (MLR), the premier professional rugby league in North America, has named San Diego as the host site for the 2024 MLR Championship. The Quest for the Shield will culminate at Snapdragon Stadium on Aug. 4, 2024 at 4 p.m. (EST) featuring the champions from the East and West conferences.

July 19, 2023 (San Diego) - Snapdragon Stadium has been chosen to host the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League Championship on November 11, the league announced Wednesday morning.
