FREE HEALTHCARE REFORM SEMINAR ON SEPTEMBER 11

 

August 31, 2013 (El Cajon) – A free seminar on healthcare reform will be held at the East County Chamber of Commerce Office, 201 South Magnolia Ave., El Cajon on September 11 from 11:30 am. Until 1:00 p.m.  The seminar, presented by Erick Lundy, of Lundy Insurance Services, Inc., will address 2 critical issues affecting employers right now.

EAST COUNTY CHAMBER HOSTS AFTER HOURS MIXER/DINNER AUG. 22 AT CARLTON OAKS

 

August 8, 2013 (Santee) – The East County Chamber of Commerce will host a business after hours dinner/mixer at Carlton Oaks Golf Resort in Santee on August 22 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is $10 for non-members and free to members who RSVP ahead.  Hors d’houevres and non-alcoholic beverages are included.  The event also includes a putting contest, tour of facilities, and chance to win prizes.

SUMMER HEALTHCARE SATURDAY JUNE 15

 

 

June 12, 2013 (La Mesa)- On Saturday, June 15,  the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce and the Grossmont Healthcare District will again team up to produce Summer Healthcare Saturday, a one day health exposition that will be held at Grossmont Center in La Mesa.

The event will feature free demonstrations, free health information and screenings. Up to 75 booths are expected to be present and lining up throughout the mall.

January 18, 2013 (El Cajon) – San Diego East County Chamber is offering a free workshop, “A Model of Employee Engagement” on January 29, from 9-11 a.m. at the Chamber’s Board Room, 201 S. Magnolia Ave., El Cajon.  Learn how to take employee performance from good to great in this informative workshop. The workshop focuses on aligning overall organizational strategy, communication techniques to enhance engagement and the best ways to develop employee’s skills to help your business thrive.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS HOLIDAY MIXER DEC. 12

December 1, 2012 (El Cajon) – East County Chamber of Commerce and Team KIA of El Cajon host the annual Business After Hours Holiday Mixer on December 12 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Team KIA of El Cajon, 541 N. Johnson Ave., El Cajon.  Stop by for heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, holiday music and lucrative business networking.

December 1, 2012 (Alpine) – East County Chamber of Commerce’s last First Friday Breakfast of 2012 will be held December 7 at 7:15 a.m. at Viejas Casino, 5000 Willows Rd., Alpine.  The East County Toy & Food Drive will be showcased to highlight how many underserved families benefit each year from the charity and community spirit of East County residents and businesses.

September 13, 2012 (El Cajon) – The East County Chamber of Commerce will be holding the Passport to the Future Business Expo on September 20 at the Elk’s Lodge, 1400 E. August 22, 2010 (El Cajon ) – Two Congressmen and four local lawmakers fielded questions from the audience Friday night, trading quips and barbs on topics ranging from healthcare to gay marriage. The occasion was the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce’s annual “Politics in Paradise” event in the Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College, where the weather was sultry and the politics even hotter.

EAST COUNTY'S LARGEST FREE HEALTH FAIR DEEMED A VIBRANT SUCCESS

 

June 23, 2010 (La Mesa) -- The 10th annual Summer Healthcare Saturday, East County’s largest free health fair, held  June 19th at Grossmont Center, was by far the most successful ever, according to Mike Cully, president/CEO of the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce.  The event was organized by the Chamber and co-sponsored by Grossmont Healthcare District, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Alvarado Hospital and Grossmont Center.

June 4, 2009 -- The San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce reports victory in helping to defeat several bills it describes as “business UN-friendly bills." But a coalition opposed to Sunrise Powerlink has taken the Chamber to task for its opposition to one measure which supporters say would, in fact, create jobs in renewable energy production locally. The organization also seeks to persuade the Chamber to reconsider its endorsement of Sunrise Powerlink.

May 2, 2009 (El Cajon)—Speaking at an East County Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Grossmont College yesterday, Supervisor Dianne Jacob took a cue from President Barack Obama and offered her own “100 days” post-election report. But she noted one key difference, “I did not take over any banks,” she quipped, then offered her own “to do” list. Mayors of several East County cities also offered their perspectives.

March 3, 2009 (San Diego)--At an inaugural celebration, Viejas Enterprises was awarded the East County Regional Business of the Year by the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce.
