GAY CHORUS ACCEPTS PADRES’ APOLOGY, ASKED FOR FIRED DJ’S REINSTATEMENT

May 24, 2016 (San Diego) – Previously, we reported on the uproar that occurred when the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus took the field to perform before a Padres game last week.  Their microphones were turned off inexplicably and a woman’s voice singing the Star Spangled banner blared over the loudspeakers instead.

May 24, 2016 (San Francisco) - The Padres have suffered two heartbreaking games in a row.  Tonight they decided to change that.  The recently called up Andrew Cashner started on the hill for San Diego against Jeff Samardzija for San Francisco.

May 20, 2016 (San Diego) - The hated Dodgers came to Petco tonight to start a three-game weekend series against the Padres.  Scott Kazmir started on the hill for Los Angeles and Christian Friedrich for San Diego.  This would've been an awkward matchup if Kazmir was still in his glory days with the Tampa Bay Rays.

May 4, 2016 (San Diego) - Cesar Vargas started for San Diego and Tyler Chatwood for Colorado in the matinee series finale between the Padres and Rockies. The score stayed at zero for five innings until Tony Wolters scored in the fifth to give the Rockies a 1-0 lead.

In the ninth, D.J. LeMahieu finished the job with a sacrifice bunt to score Mark Reynolds and make the score 2-0 Rockies. That would be the final score as the Padres once again fail to get the sweep.
