September 15, 2016 (San Diego) - Padres general manager A.J. Preller has been suspended for 30 days with no pay after the MLB completed an investigation into the July 14 trade of pitcher Drew Pomeranz to the Boston Red Sox.

September 15, 2016 (San Francisco) - After the Padres rallied in the ninth and Ryan Schimpf hit a game-winning three-run homer, they got right back up and tried to do it again.  It would be a lot tougher this time with Madison Bumgarner on the mound against Luis Perdomo.
