June 19, 2016 (San Diego) - Happy Father’s Day, dads!  This year, you get a decent pitching matchup on the Padres and Nationals matinee series finale.  But most of all, you get a Padres win.  Gio Gonzalez took the hill for Washington against Drew Pomeranz for San Diego.

June 17, 2016 (San Diego) - As if the pain from last night’s loss and from not having Tyson Ross wasn’t enough, the Padres got to face Tyson’s little brother, Joe, tonight in game two against the Nationals. Christian Friedrich started on the hill for San Diego.

June 13, 2016 (San Diego) - The Miami Marlins, who have kind of fallen off the face of the Earth after fighting for their 15 minutes of fame a few years ago with a new state-of-the-art amusement par...er, I mean, stadium and drafting slugger Giancarlo Stanton, who lit up the league, came to Petco Park for a three-game series.  Wei-Yin Chen took the mound for the fish against Colin Rea for San Diego.

June 11, 2016 (Denver) - The Padres and Rockies played a Saturday matinee today.  Erik Johnson made his Padres debut today against Tyler Chatwood for Colorado.

June 10, 2016 (Denver) – After a needed day off, the Padres went back to work tonight against the NL West rival Colorado Rockies.  Andrew Cashner started for the Padres against Jon Gray for Colorado.  Cashner left the game early with a stiff neck and Luis Perdomo took his place.  This was a game that will go down in Padres' history.

June 9, 2016 (Secaucus, Nj.) - The 2016 MLB draft began today and everyone waited with baited breath to see who the Padres would pick.  Voice of the Padres Dick Enberg was at the MLB studios in New Jersey to announce some second round picks.
