April 4, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State women’s tennis senior Jana Buth (Kaiserslautern, Germany) has been named Mountain West Player of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. This is the second career weekly conference honor for Buth, who also won the award on Jan. 31, 2018 for her perfect singles and doubles records earlier this season.

April 1, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State dropped its second straight dual match to a conference opponent Sunday, falling to Utah State by a 4-1 count in Mountain West action at Aztec Tennis Center.

The Aggies (12-8, 3-0 MW) seized control in doubles competition before claiming three of four singles encounter to remain unbeaten in league play.

The Aztecs secured the doubles point, but faced challenges in singles action and couldn’t put together three additional points for a victory.

March 21, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State lost its seventh consecutive dual match Wednesday night after falling to Liberty in the nightcap of a non-conference doubleheader at Aztec Tennis Center.

Coupled with a 4-2 defeat to visiting Denver earlier in the day, SDSU slips to 2-14 on the year, while the Flames won their second straight, improving to 11-8 on the year.

March 21, 2018 (San Diego) - San Diego State opened its lengthy homestand in tough fashion Wednesday with a 4-2 loss to Denver in the first match of a doubleheader at Aztec Tennis Center.

With the setback, SDSU (2-13) dropped its sixth decision in a row, as the Pioneers (7-5) captured the early doubles point before claiming three victories in single competition.

March 15, 2018 (Solana Beach) - Playing its first dual match in two weeks, the San Diego State men’s tennis team opened the eighth annual San Diego Spring Classic with a 5-1 setback to No. 25 Harvard on Thursday afternoon at Lomas Santa Fe Country Club. The loss drops the Aztecs to 2-10 on the year, while the Crimson captured their fourth straight, improving to 13-2 overall.

February 17, 2018 (Las Vegas) - The San Diego State men’s tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Oregon Saturday in a neutral-site dual match at Fertita Tennis Complex on the campus of UNLV.

The Aztecs (1-7) posted an upset at No. 2 doubles after the tandem of Santiago Cevallos and Rafael Gonzalez Almazan emerged with a 6-4 triumph over the duo of Simon Stevens and Ty Gentry, who were ranked 37th in the nation entering the day.
