March 4, 2023 (Scottsdale) - The Padres faced the Diamondbacks again today.  Reiss Knehr started against Brandon Pfaadt for Arizona.
 
Ketel Marte began the scoring for the Diamondbacks with a sac fly in the second that scored Pavin Smith and Arizona led 1-0 after two.

The signing comes at the end of the MLB Winter Meetings and is the only major move the Padres have made so far in the offseason.
