June 17, 2016 (San Diego's East County) - Alex Bowen, a native of Santee who graduated from Stanford University last year, has been one of 14 athletes named to the U.S. Men's Water Polo team at the FINA League Super Final in Huizhou, China, KNSD reports.

June 10, 2016 (Denver) – After a needed day off, the Padres went back to work tonight against the NL West rival Colorado Rockies.  Andrew Cashner started for the Padres against Jon Gray for Colorado.  Cashner left the game early with a stiff neck and Luis Perdomo took his place.  This was a game that will go down in Padres' history.

 May 30, 2016 (Oakland) – After several campaign stops including addressing a crowd of 60,000 people in Oakland, Senator Bernie Sanders took time out to enjoy a Warriors game along with actor/activist Danny Glover at Oracle Arena, where the Golden State Warriors are playing Game 7 of the NBA’s Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The winner will go on to play for the NBA Championship.
